HORSE 4 LIFE - Raising Awareness

                 Legacy & Tributes

Legacy tributes and WillsThere are a number of options when it comes to making a Will, however, you should always consult a professional due to the complexities that can be associated with ambiguity and/or just basic confusion for those left behind if you attempt to do it yourself.

Horse 4 Life as is the case with so many other charities, do not get any government funding and therefore public donations, legacies and tributes are the financial  life blood to ensure ongoing support is always available in times of need and crisis.

Horse 4 Life focuses on equine welfare support and desperately needs financial support in all forms to sustain ongoing development to benefit our wonderful equine friends and the ongoing good work.

Why is having a will important?
Having an up to date Will is the only way to ensure that your family, friends and the causes you believe in are provided for in the way you wish after you die.

It is therefore vital to have a will
for the following reasons.

• If you pass on without making a valid Will you are said to die
intestate. Your possessions will be distributed according to strict
intestacy rules not necessarily how you  would wish them to be.

• If you are not married or in a civil partnership, your partner will
not automatically inherit your estate if you do not have a valid
   Will.

• If you have dependent children, but do not have a valid Will then
you will have no control over who looks after them, should
   anything happen to you.

Why is it important your will is up to date?
Once you have a Will, it’s important to keep it up to date as major changes to your marital, family or financial circumstances and / or lifestyle and subsequent wishes should be reflected in your Will.

Use a solicitor
You can find a solicitor in your area through the Law Society.
The Law Society provides independent advice on topics such as choosing a solicitor.

The cost of using a solicitor varies depending on how complicated your Will is and where in the country you live.

The solicitor should make it clear from the start how much they will charge.

If you require the support of  Horse 4 LifeWill writing Services, we can make recommendations to an  independent Will writing representative only. If you require this service please complete the form below specifying your requirements.
